Child of the Covenant
Born at 1528 (3:28pm) on April 1, 2008
Chase, a huntsman
Alexander, defender of men
Prior to labor, we knew Chase had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. However, the doctor thought we could try a normal birth. Krisha was induced around 10am. After 4 hours of labor, the babies heart rate dropped fairly dramatically and birth was still hours away. The doctor made the decision to deliver by c-section. It went very smoothly. Krisha was awake during the operation and got to see Chase as soon as he was born. Chase has been healthy at every check-up he has had. He is feeding well. He opens his eyes and looks around. Krisha is doing better every hour and we plan to go home today.
Psalm 127.3-5 has never been more true to me.
Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
children a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
