Chase FFTD (funny for the day)

Chase: "Where's dada?"
Me: "Oh he's at work buddy. He had to leave a little early."
Chase: "Oh. I'm bummered."
Me: "What? You mean that's a bummer? Or I'm bummed?"
Chase: "Yep. I'm bummered."

Photo shoot! (to the tune "you're so vain!")

Yep, that's right. I'm that vain that I decided: hey I don't have any good pictures of myself and it's about time that I capture (or have hubby capture) a good memory so I don't look back and think "yikes- I am so disheveled as a mom of toddlers." Plus it is usually me taking the photos but Brian is much better at it so I "encouraged" him (nudge, nudge) to practice his expertise on my new haircut.

Do you ever have a good hair day and wish you'd taken a photo for the next time you go to the hairdresser? I am always faced with that and by the time I need a haircut, my hair in no way shape or form resembles what I want it to look like.

Anyways, I'd like to thank hubby for putting up with me, Angie my hairdresser who is great with curly hair and always tries to please, and then there's Paul Mitchell who contributed to my hair-do and coconut aroma mousse, and of course God who made the evening just perfect. Flowers blooming. Light just bright enough. So perfect that you can even see my eye color.

Birthday Boy at 4!!!

Here's the Birthday boy at 4!
(Disclaimer: ok, so not yet 4. We celebrated a day early since he's an April Fool's baby)

We enjoyed wonderful weather at the park for a pin-wheeled themed bday!

Too Funny, Hubby

So it goes something like this:

B: "Hey wifey. So I was driving out to see one of my patients and guess what I saw."
K: "What?"
B: "A truck. That looks like someone."
K: "Who?"
B: TOW MATER! (in the most southern accent I have EVER heard Brian use)
K: HA! Did you just say TOW..(long pause)... MATER?
B: "Yeah. What was I supposed to say? I even had to make a u-turn once I passed it to get the photo!"

Later....On Chase's birthday:
B: Chase, I have something for you.
C: What is is?
B: It's a picture.
C: Who is it?
B: You tell me, Chase. Who does the truck look like?
C: I don't know.
B: That's TOW MATER!!! (all excited)
C: No it's not.
B: Yes it is! Look. He's got the teeth and everything.
C: Where's his hook?
(Smart kid. And here we were thinking the buck-teeth made Mater Mater. Guess Chase knew that the hook makes him TOW.... MATER)

So I think my new love language is the random calls I get from my husband during the day involving roadside hilarity that only a we would appreciate. Too funny, Hubby.

On another note (Sophie you are gonna get me for this when you are a teen, but..):

Does anyone see any resemblance between Mater and this pix of Sophie?
Not the most flattering (Sorry Sophes), but Brian and I laughed OUT LOUD (literally) when we saw it. Can't you just picture her saying "I used-ta could?"
