Sophie's baptism

Sunday was a really special day for us. Sophie was baptized along with her BFF baby friends Ellie & Josh. The Hoffmans hosted us for an amazing baptism celebration where we got one-on-one time with friends. Check out the awesome cake that Brooke helped design based on these books she got the kiddos! So creative! I love it because as you know, Sophie is my little owl.

Derelict Dog

Zoe has adopted a new look to better minister to the stray dogs around her. We never knew she had such humility. But when offered a pillow, a chair, or just the kitchen tile, we instead found her in the dungeon section of our basement (where I don't even go b/c I think it's creepy) laying here:

"BUH! Who rang my doorbell?!"

So all you petowners reading this: STOP investing in fancy doggybeds or crates!! Don't give in to commercialism. What your dog really wants (and just hasn't told you yet) is a nice cardboard box. Oh and perhaps some wads of paper.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! To my wonderful mom who:

sacrificially carried me for 9 months,

nourished those chubby cheeks,

creatively HANDMADE all of our birthday party decor (check out my Ernie hat!),

dressed me up in a sari, salwar kameez, or other Indian garb to teach me my dad's heritage,

made sure to be a part of every prom, dance recital, swim meet, & soccer game,

and support me through all of my academic achievements, speeches, pageants, & ceremonies,

and still finds time to share herself with me (and the grandkids) today!

Love you mom.

Chase thoroughly enjoys his family! He asks for them all the time (including the ones that don't live here! Yep that means you Grandma & Grandpa Whited, Aunty Jen, Uncle Tyler, Cousin Colin, Aunty Cat, Aunt Sharon, and lately lots of Aunt Donna since we got to see her!) I'm grateful he's so attached to his cousins, grandparents, and aunt & uncles on both sides. Here are some pictures of Chase's 3rd birthday. He got two parties (one with friends and one with my family). Chase is a blessed little guy! Can't believe he's three!Nice!

This was by far his favorite gift! The Lightning McQueen car that sings "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts. Later that evening, I thought I heard music coming from his room. But it was on then off, on then off. I def caught him with it in bed that night open and closing it. "Life is a" [closes card] "Li-li-life" [closes card] "Life is a high"[closes card]. It was so funny!
